Title: Letting Go
Fandom and Pairing: Super Junior/Kibum
Rating: G
Word Count: 200
Summary: After three years of being locked up and tied down, Kibum escapes.
Warnings: none
Kibum was supposed to graduate in '06, leave to pursue an acting career and maybe they would have a reunion in five years or so. He didn't expect another link would be added to the chain. Nor that it would be the one to lock him in.
From Super Junior '05 to just plain Super Junior, he was a member, and there was no way out. Especially not after ELF started screaming chanting that harsh threat reminder that Super Junior was, indeed, only Thirteen members.
The days dragged on. TV programs, vocal lessons, dance practice and studio recordings. Singing, dancing, rapping... it simply wasn't his thing.
"I just want to act," he tells the higher ups.
"Just deal with it a little longer. They love you, you know."
But for all the wrong reasons. For all the reasons Kibum doesn't care about or want.
Then comes the ultimatum. He'll agree to stay in name, but can't be locked down with the same old routine anymore. Ignoring Donghae's nearly trembling lips, Ryeowook's confusion, and Kyuhyun's cold eyes, he walks away.
Walks away from Super Junior, walks away from ELF, walks away from three years' building something that he never really wanted to be a part of.
Freedom... feels good.
