It's not an easy spell to cast, but Sungmin knows that if anyone can do it, it'll be him.
He floats over to Kyuhyun's body, lying pale and perfect in the middle of the large stone dais, toes just skimming over the spell diagrams drawn around the dais and crackling with power. Care has to be taken not to disturb them, now that they've been completed and invested with blood and magic. One wrong move can obliterate both Kyuhyun and him.
Spell words tumble from his mouth, heavy and hissing in the air, as the spell forces unlife into Kyuhyun's limbs. Kyuhyun's stark white skin looks like a crazy map now, crisscrossed with blue-green veins throbbing under it as they fill up again with long-dead blood.
When it's over and Kyuhyun's eyes flutter open, Sungmin grasps his face, tears running down his cheeks, and bends low to kiss him fiercely, closing off the fact that Kyuhyun's mouth is slack against his and his skin is still ice-cold and his eyes are open but dull.
Sungmin's always known that reanimation isn't resurrection, but does it matter, now that he has Kyuhyun back forever? Kyuhyun will never truly live, but he'll never die again either.
