Title: Just to Hear Your Voice Again

"Hey."
Chansung remembers how they first met, remembers the crinkled eyes and cheeky smile. He remembers the way the bright red uniform framed the barista's build perfectly, how smooth his voice sounded.
It wasn't love at first sight, but it was close.
"You've reached Lee Junho's phone."
He leaned against the counter, trying to be suave as he threw out pick-up lines instead of his coffee order. The other boy just laughed and, despite Chansung's horrible wooing, gave him his name and number.
"I'm probably busyÖ"
It was love at second sight. And soon Chansung's entire world revolved solely around Junho. He was everything he wished for and more.
"Öor can't get to the phone right now."
But one day Junho didn't pick up, didnët answer. And by the time Chansung reached the boy's hospital bed he'd been crying so hard he couldn't breathe.
"So leave me a message."
"Please, Junho. Don't leave me. God, I love you. I love you, I love you, I--" He doesn't remember how many times he repeated it. Just knows he kept saying it as if he thought that if he said it enough, the words would be reciprocated.
"Bye!"
But they weren't.
"Beeeeeeep."
