Title: He Remembers

Summary: Wooyoung turns to Taecyeon to remember. Both keep trying.

wooyoung often turns to taecyeon with a glassy smile, saying "remember when...?"
this time, it's: "remember when we all ran away from minjae hyung?"
"we did that a couple of times."
"yes, but remember that one night when j...?"
wooyoung leaves off with faltering lips.

taecyeon locks his door when using his laptop to browse through old pictures, old videos. in each one, wooyoung's smiling the sun to shame. even from shabby reproductions, taecyeon's chest soaks warmth and blinding happiness.
of course, there are differences. it's only natural. but between then and now, wooyoung's smile has minute undergone changes; those that only the loving, wary eye can discern. taecyeon sees every little thing.
and just as 2pm will never truly have another leader, taecyeon knows he'll never really give up trying to bring wooyoung's smile back to its original glow.
but when taecyeon's hope flickers as wooyoung's eyes light up, there's always remembrance in the next moment. as if, 'oh yes, but there's nothing that can compare to when he was around...' and then, taecyeon's back to square one.
