Title: Heart on the Shore

Lu Han leaves his heart on the shoreline. Sand clasps to the valves and the wind travels through it like an unwelcomed stranger.
When the afternoon dusk meets his heart, it bleeds a faint red and the waves guide it into the dark sea for the strangest of creatures to discover.
"Should I eat this for dinner?" the creature asks to himself as he clasps the warm heart in his palms. The heart beats in his hand, alive, and answers, "No, please don't eat me."
The creature says, "Okay," and takes it to his castle hidden in the abyss of the sea. He leaves it beside his throne and watches over the unfamiliar artifact every day.
"Jongin, that's a human heart and it has no place in our seas," another merman tells him.
When the seas turn icy cold, Jongin contemplates eating the heart as there is nothing else left to consume.
“Not me, please,” the heart whispers, so Jongin leaves his stomach hungry once more.
One day, the heart erupts into foam and a beautiful merman, with sparkling white scales on his tail, emerges. “Hello, I’m Lu Han.”
And loneliness lets go of Jongin’s heart to search for another.
