Summary: Carving a sense out of music-that’s what Minseok did.
Author's Notes: To be completely honest, I’ve had the idea of this fic swimming around in my head since 2014. And now I’m here, finally writing it. It is not even close to done but I hope you all enjoy Part 1! Humongous thank you to my beta for taking so much time to edit and take apart this fic, I am eternally grateful to you! Also to anyone who may be offended by how I execute Minseok’s deafness in this fic, there’s a reason behind it that will be revealed in the later parts. Also because Lu Han is dumb.
Lu Han knew he shouldn’t be at the performance. His ex-boyfriend, Oh Sehun, had given him the invitation a few weeks ago; stating that they needed to go see his elder brother perform with the symphony. Of course, Lu Han obliged; however, they broke up later that week and Lu Han was currently bathing in his own self-loathing.
The young brunette didn’t even care; he just came to get his mind off work. Classical music was his favorite genre-he had rows upon rows of music sheets and CDs; ranging from flowing sonatas, to quick, staccato-filled Khachaturian pieces. The only problem was that Lu Han didn’t know how to play a single instrument and that he didn’t have enough time for lessons. He just preferred to pop a disk into his CD player and sit down with a cup of coffee to bask in a skill he thought he would never learn.
Prokofiev tunes were currently embedded in Lu Han’s head as he took a seat in the middle back-the best place for sound. He avoided looking around, for he was here for the performance and the performance alone. He didn’t want to see any old friends. They were on okay terms, but both Sehun and Lu Han hadn’t texted or called each other for days.
His focus was then brought to the dimming lights in the room and the loud clanking of heels hitting the hard floor of the stage.
“Hello, ladies and gentlemen! I’m glad all of you could make it tonight!” A tall lady wearing a short, slim-fitting dress had stepped up to the podium and adjusted the microphone to her height as she was speaking. From what Lu Han saw, she looked wealthy. Red heels and red lipstick completed her outfit, and Lu Han found it quite overwhelming.
His judgmental thoughts were brushed away as the lady continued talking. Lu Han found himself very confused-he was too busy staring at her obnoxious outfit to hear whatever she said. He just remembered hearing about the “well-rounded students who worked very hard” and something about a “special guest”. For some reason, Lu Han was very irritated just by the sound of her voice.
Lu Han began to feel distaste at the fact that he chose to attend this symphony, but there was no leaving now. He crossed his legs, clasped his hands together and leaned back as the lights in the large acoustic room dimmed and huge spotlights shone on the polished stage.
A shorter, stouter man strode onto the stage with a podium in hands, setting it in the very center.
The musicians started to fill in the chairs that were arranged in an organized semi-circle surrounding the podium. Music stands were put down and the musicians fiddled with their instruments before warming up with long tones that were led by the concertmaster.
After some nonchalant scanning of all of the musicians in their seats, Lu Han spotted Sehun’s older brother. He was a sturdy man, but still shorter than Sehun. He played a viola. He was also one of the head chair players which Lu Han discovered after looking more into his chair placement.
A loud tapping noise brought the audience to attention and everyone’s eyes were focused on the same small man from earlier, now standing in front of the podium with a microphone in his hand.
“Good evening, everybody. I’ll make this short so all of you can enjoy the show instead of listening to my rambling.” The spectators, including Lu Han, all broke into a soft titter.
When the room quieted, the man lifted the mic to his face and began speaking again. “I am very happy to be able to work with these students. They are very talented, and I’m sure they will continue to be. Tonight, we will be performing an arrangement of three pieces: Fantasy Overture, Romeo and Juliet Op.64, and Symphony No.7 Movement 2-Karajan. You can find more information about the pieces on your pamphlet.”
Lu Han had forgotten to grab one on the way in and gave a cheeky smile as the occupant of the seat to his right lended him one. He was excited to hear the arrangements as they were written by some of his favorite composers. After scanning most of the content of the pamphlet, he stopped at a section that mention something about a special guest. Lu Han didn’t need to keep looking into it, though, as his reading was interrupted by the soothing sound of the symphony playing their first piece.
He was instantly swept into a trance, his foot tapped to the rhythms and hums quietly escaped from his mouth naturally. In no time, he was standing up and applauding the group as they bowed and filed out.
He had gotten up to leave, but he stopped in his tracks once he spotted the lady with the red dress strutting up to the microphone yet again, taking it in hand and raising it up to her cherry-stained lips to speak. “I hope you all enjoyed their performance! Once the piano is set onstage, our special guest shall perform, so please stay in your seats!” Her loud voice boomed across the room, making Lu Han’s eyes twitch in irritation as he settled back down. He really wished this next performance would make staying worth it. The lady paused and nodded over to the staff as they gave her a thumbs-up.
A gorgeous black walnut grand piano stood center-stage. Lu Han wondered who owned the beauty-it was one of the most unique and exquisite pianos his eyes ever laid upon. He already liked it more than his own, which he had spent thousands on to make it look and sound as he wanted it to even though he couldn’t even play it.
“Our special guest goes by the name of Kim Minseok. He will be performing Nocturne No.1 in B flat minor Op.9 No.1 by Frédéric Chopin. Please enjoy.”
The loud lady stalked away, and Lu Han visibly sunk into his seat with relief, letting out a puff of breath. It was only when the so-called Kim Minseok walked confidently on-stage, hands loose at his sides, that Lu Han got to take a good look at the man.
He was blown away, to say the least. Minseok was gorgeous. Although Minseok was small, he had a sturdy frame and a confident demeanor. His hair, burnt sienna and styled down, complimented his pale face. Even if he wanted to, Lu Han couldn't look more into detail since the man was a good twenty meters away. But his stomach churned at the thought of seeing him up close. Lu Han felt like a mere fan, trying to get a celebrity’s attention. He wasn't far from being one.
The room was silent as Minseok stood by the piano for a moment, facing the audience and appearing to estimate how many people were present in the massive room. Lu Han shifted in his seat, the eerie silence making him uncomfortable. Minseok didn't say anything. He turned and sat down quickly. He placed his hands on the keys, posture confident and determined. His body seemed to lean back right before he started. When he leapt into the piece, Lu Han was blown away yet again.
He was astonished. His body seemed to react automatically, leaning forward in his seat as his hands grasped for the armrests. He'd never seen or heard a song as well performed as Minseok’s. The small man's body was swaying, chin raising up when he hit a particularly difficult section in the piece, and slouching down when the music was more elementary. Every note he played had a different dynamic. From fluttering pianissimos to harsh sforzandos in a matter of seconds, his foot expertly pressed down on the sustain and sostenuto pedals.
It felt like Lu Han was watching Minseok play for hours in his own private performance, but in reality, it was only a few minutes later when the pianist stood and bowed as the audience applauded loudly, some even standing up. One of them was Lu Han, whose expression morphed into a giant grin.
At the reception, Lu Han grabbed a cup of punch and then decided to stick to leaning on the wall. He didn't want to go back to his house yet, for he wanted to avoid as much work as possible and the pestering of his housemate Baekhyun. He was brewing in his own thoughts when a figure approached him, leaning on the wall beside him. Lu Han turned, and his breath hitched.
"Sehun."
The man reciprocated Lu Han’s attention and smirked. "Hello, Lu Han. It is a surprise, spotting you here. I didn't think you would come."
Lu Han huffed. "I'm still friends with your brother. I didn't come here for you, if that is what you’re concerned about."
The taller man rolled his eyes and shifted his weight to look squarely at Lu Han . "Obviously. I hope you enjoyed the performance," said Sehun and then stalked away, heading to the group of people-including his brother-standing near the center of the room.
Lu Han sighed, ran a hand through his hair, and disposed his now empty and slightly crushed cup. He made to leave through the double doors that were not far to his right, but a certain flash of bright color caught his eye. He focused on that and gasped.
Minseok.
Up close, the man was even more good-looking than he had first thought. The sight of Minseok took his breath away.
Unexpectedly, his body moved on its own accord as if a note following a composition. He stalked over to where Minseok was standing with a taller man who was moving his hands very animatedly at him. Minseok didn't seem to be listening to the taller man; he was just staring at the taller man’s hands as they moved around.
Lu Han stopped in front of the pair. The taller man had stopped his hand thing before turning to Lu Han, a large toothy grin plastered onto his face. Lu Han bowed at the man and faced Minseok, bowing to him as a light blush slowly made its way to his cheeks.
"I'm Chanyeol-Park Chanyeol, that is. I'm Minseok's assistant," he boomed, bowing back at Lu Han.
Lu Han winced; Chanyeol's voice was loud. Minseok chuckled beside Chanyeol; his eyes trained on Lu Han.
"Ah hello, I'm Lu Han. It's nice to meet you, Chanyeol," He looked back over to Minseok. "You're Minseok, right? Your performance blew me away. I was amazed," he raved, clasping his hands together.
Minseok stared at him blankly. Lu Han fidgeted uncomfortably but Chanyeol intervened, stepping in front of Minseok. "Ah, thank you! We are glad you liked his performance-but we must go now. It was nice talking to you, Lu Han. Come to another performance soon!"
Chanyeol guided Minseok out with a hand rested on the smaller man's back, and they walked briskly out the glass doors.
Lu Han slumped. That was odd.
As he prepared to leave, he noticed that several people were whispering among each other and casting Lu Han dirty looks. He assumed it was Sehun’s up-to-no-good doing again.
--
As Lu Han got out of the shower, Baekhyun entered to room and flopped on Lu Han's bed. "So you really went to that symphony thing? The one Sehun invited you to?" he inquired while pulling out his phone and smiling at a text he received.
"Yeah, I just wanted to get away from you."
Lu Han dodged the pillow that came sailing towards his face. "And would you stop flirting with that guy and ask him out already? Jeez, watching you text him disgusts me."
Baekhyun huffed and set his phone down. "He has a name, you know."
"Then tell me his name!"
Baekhyun caught the pillow that Lu Han so kindly "returned" to him. "Park Chanyeol. It's more appealing to my tongue than your name," Then Lu Han froze.
"Wait-did you say Park Chanyeol?" Lu Han asked, sitting in front of Baekhyun and staring intently at him.
Baekhyun shielded his eyes. "Yeah, that's the name. And would you stop giving me that look? It's weird. Anyways, have you heard of Kim Minseok? He's a pianist."
"I actually saw him perform tonight," Lu Han mumbled in shock.
"Really? Wow, you could've at least told me. I could've seen Chanyeol in all of his tall handsome glory," Baekhyun swooned, hands on either side of his face, making Lu Han groan.
"Anyways," Lu Han continued, "I met Chanyeol at the reception. He's Minseok's... assistant? And he's...uh...very loud." He cringed, just remembering how loud Chanyeol was.
Baekhyun grinned widely. "That's my Channie~although he isn't just Minseok's assistant, he's more of a translator."
"Why would Minseok need a translator? I mean, his name is Korean and this is clearly Korea..."
"Oh my god Lu Han. You don't do your research. Minseok's deaf, for Christ's sake! Of course he's going to need a translator!" Baekhyun groaned, flopping back onto the bed and grabbing his phone. "I swear if you actually tried talking to Minseok in front of Chanyeo-"
"I did..."
"I really hate you sometimes, you know that? Idiot," Baekhyun got up and stalked out of the room. Lu Han could hear him giggle, probably a text from Chanyeol, the translator.
"I'm screwed."
--
When Lu Han crawled under the covers of his bed that night, he couldn't help but feel guilty at the fact that he had completely disrespected Minseok and the fact that he didn't even recognize Chanyeol's advanced sign language when he was with Minseok. It didn't even matter that Lu Han didn't know, there were enough context clues that should have led him onto the conclusion that Minseok could not hear.
But no, Lu Han was dense, and that was one of his greatest weaknesses. It was not something that could be embraced. It was not something that could slowly transform into a strength over the course of his life.
He fell into a restless slumber, mind fogged with doubt and shame.
--
Lu Han didn't know how or when he got in a bookstore. But there he was in the 'languages' isle, rethinking his current situation. So what he messed up yesterday. It didn’t mean that he should learn sign language because of it. But maybe it was the guilt egging him on as he reached out and picked a Sign Language For Dummies book off the middle shelf, flipping through it for a brief moment. He was determined to impress Minseok the next time they met.
--
When Lu Han arrived at his house, there was an unknown car in his driveway. He found it strange since he and Baekhyun weren't most of the social type; the most social thing also known as clubbing was done when they were still in college.
He walked up the pathway and noticed some sort of commotion going on in the house. All he heard was yelling and that got him rushing to unlock the front door, throwing open the screen and yanking the door open as he went hurriedly inside the house.
He heard a bunch of frantic yelling, cries of "Don't move!" and "You'll hurt yourself!" boom throughout the house. That voice sounded familiar.
Lu Han followed the voice until he stood near the door frame of the living room, gawking at the scene in front of him. Baekhyun was curled up on the floor, motionless except the shaking of his chest, as he yelled unintelligible words back at Chanyeol. His dialect had come back out and Lu Han found great amusement in it. Shards of glass were scattered all around Baekhyun and Chanyeol was bent over with a dustpan and hand brush, sweeping the pieces of glass away as he repeatedly yelled the same phrases of "Don't move!" and "You'll hurt yourself!" at Baekhyun.
After the initial assessment of the situation, Lu Han noticed conspicuously that his favorite side table was now ruined; the top glass panel was reduced to shards on the floor, and the bottom piece was on its side.
He couldn't take any more of it. "What the hell is going on? Why is my table in pieces!?" he demanded, making both men jump in surprise. Chanyeol turned to Lu Han with a guilty look on his face. Whilst the taller man was distracted, Baekhyun scrambled up from his spot on the floor and jumped on the couch, away from the mess. He gave Lu Han a mischievous smile.
"We were just running around and I so happened to run into the table. No worries, Chanyeol is cleaning it up, as you can see," Baekhyun shot a glare at Chanyeol. "Right, Chanyeol?" Chanyeol stood there with a dumb look on his face for a few moments before he muttered an "Oh!" and spun around, leaning down, and continuing to clean up the glass.
Lu Han dropped his bag, ran his hands through his hair, and went to his room wordlessly, leaving Chanyeol and Baekhyun speechless.
Really, why did Lu Han choose Byun Baekhyun, out of all people, to be his housemate?
Maybe it was the fact that Baekhyun had a better job than him and could pay the larger half of the house bills, or maybe Baekhyun was just lucky. Lu Han regarded the latter as the answer. He laid on his bed for a while, thoughts swimming in his head-or rather, a certain pianist’s performance playing over and over beneath his eyelids.
His moment of peace was interrupted as someone knocked on his door. "Come in," Lu Han said with a groan. The door opened slowly, Chanyeol's head poking through the gap. He held up the book Lu Han purchased earlier.
"You left this. I thought you might want it," Chanyeol said, entering the room and handing it to Lu Han. After Lu Han got the book and an uncomfortable silence swallowed the air around them, Chanyeol cleared his throat awkwardly and said, "You know, I could help you learn sign language, if you'd like. Since, you know, I'm a translator."
Lu Han sat up and narrowed his eyes at Chanyeol. "Are you joking?" he said, causing Chanyeol to sputter. "I-I didn't mean it like that. Yes you could learn it on your own, of course, but I just thought I could help you learn it a little faster since, you know, you're a little obvious when it comes to Minseok..."
Now it was Lu Han's turn to be embarrassed. His face flushed red and he sat up. "Listen here Park, I don't even know Minseo-"
"Woah woah woah what's going on in here?" Baekhyun was standing in the doorway with his hands raised beside his head, eyebrows raised. Lu Han released his glare on Chanyeol, who looked rather taken aback but a smirk was plastered on his face. Lu Han rolled his eyes. "Get this thing out of my house," He gestured violently to Chanyeol.
"You mean our house, Lu. Anyways, his offer still stands. Now stop being a baby and just accept it. I put Chanyeol's number in your phone since you left it in the living room." Baekhyun sneered, grabbing Chanyeol's hand and heading out the door after throwing Lu Han's phone on the desk.
Lu Han grumbled and checked his phone's contacts. There it was, the bright words "Parky <3" staring right at his face. He could feel Baekhyun's shit-eating grin from where he was standing.
--
Lu Han stayed up late that night, laying back on his bed with his bedside lamp illuminating the room in a warm light. His face was pressed into a book-more specifically his new book, and he has his right hand lifted out by his side, making different signs with his fingers. After a straight hour of learning the alphabet and several different terms for his work, he went to bed, dreaming of hands dancing along to his favorite piano pieces.
Waking up only five hours later was not what Lu Han had planned. But that's what happens when he doesn't pay attention to the clock that had screamed "3:12 A.M."-bold and red-at him when he went to sleep.
Lu Han was definitely not a morning person, so he made his way into the kitchen to grab a cup of coffee. Baekhyun had already made the pot, since he had to leave for work an hour earlier than Lu Han. Lu Han smirked as he sipped on his mug. Being a barista is much more entertaining than his boring accountant job.
--
It was around noon when Lu Han was preparing to go meet Baekhyun for lunch, wiping down the counters and locking the cash register. He didn’t expect the door to chime at that time. He saw a new customer enter, paying no attention to how loud and annoying the bell was.
"Who comes for coffee this late, nevertheless lunch time?" Lu Han mumbled, clearly upset with the timing of the customer. When he looked up, he didn't expect to see Minseok either, smiling shyly at him as he pulled out a small memo pad and pen. He stared at the pad for a moment, but flinched as Minseok cleared his throat. Another blank look and Minseok smiled again, writing down something on the pad and holding it in front of Lu Han.
"You know I'm deaf, right?" It read, and Lu Han sputtered loudly. Minseok slid the pen over to him, but he rejected it, sliding it and the pad back over to the smaller man. He stood, brows furrowed, before he lifted both of his hands and made several signs. Minseok read them with a perplexed look on his face before he burst into a silent laughter, slamming his hand on the counter. He hunched over and scribbled something on the pad again before showing it to Lu Han.
"You just said your family was made of dogs. I'm sure you meant something else, hopefully. Please, just use this." Lu Han turned beet red and hid his face in his hands. He meant to ask Minseok if his order was here or to-go, but obviously he had a lot more studying to do before he could properly communicate with the other man.
The rest of their encounter was awkward-just for Lu Han, though. He wasn't used to the quietness of the shop as he took care of customers, but here he was, watching Minseok write down his order and pull his wallet out as well.
Lu Han made that double shot macchiato exclusively special for Minseok, spending a longer amount of time on it than necessary. He stuck the receipt paper on the cup after writing something down on it. He handed the handcrafted beverage to the other man. Minseok took the cup, grinned, and waved as he left the shop.
Immediately after Minseok left, Lu Han whipped out his phone and texted Chanyeol to come over after work. He was determined to learn now.
--
During lunch with Baekhyun, he received a text from an unknown number reading, 'You could've just asked me my number instead of putting it on my receipt. Loser.’ Baekhyun scoffed at the dumb grin Lu Han had on his face.
--
Chanyeol did not anticipate seeing such a frenzied Lu Han when he opened the door, but Lu Han had grabbed him by the arms and pulled him into the house, not letting him go until they were sitting on the couch together. Lu Han let go of Chanyeol and let the latter shuffle through the files he had brought. When Chanyeol handed him a packet of papers, Lu Han seized it and flipped through it. Various exercises for learning the alphabet and greetings in sign language were included in the handouts.
Lu Han looked up. "Aren't you going to, y'know," He motioned to the air. "teach me stuff?"
Chanyeol shrugged. "There really isn't anything to teach. This is how I learned sign language. If you have any questions about it, you can just ask me," he said, standing and making his way to Baekhyun's room with a bounce to his steps.
Lu Han rolled his eyes; he expected it because those two weren't exactly ambiguous. He set to work on his packet, finishing it in under thirty minutes, He puffed his chest in pride as he gave it back to Chanyeol, smirking as the translator flipped through the pages.
Chanyeol looked up to Lu Han, "Wow," he said with a toothy grin. "You suck."
Baekhyun saw the activity as done-even though unsuccessful-and clapped while he was sitting on his bed, legs crossed. "Yay! Now let's go to a bar or something. I need a kick in my system."
--
"So what are your hobbies, other than translating?" Lu Han asked Chanyeol, swishing his cognac around in the glass as he waited for the other man’s answer. Baekhyun had gone off somewhere, saying he had to pee, but the both of them knew he was chatting the bartender up, trying to get a free drink. Both of them knew that never worked when it came to Baekhyun.
Chanyeol hummed for a second. "I really like playing the guitar. I sing sometimes," he answered, seemingly satisfied.
Lu Han sighed. "Another musician," he mumbled, resting his head down on his arms.
Chanyeol frowned. "What's wrong with musicians? You went to a symphony, you know."
Lu Han waved the other off, turning his head to stare at the taller man. "I know that, it's just that I'm not a musician."
Chanyeol shrugged, taking a sip of his drink. Lu Han listened as the ice clinked around in the glass. "You must have different hobbies, right? You like making coffee and reading. You don't have to be a musician." Chanyeol explained, waving his hand around animatedly as he spoke. Lu Han sat up and shook his head.
"It's not as simple as that, Park. You see, I want to be a musician, but I never learned. My parents didn't want me to do music, so I never was able to play. I know I'm old enough now, but I just don't have as much time as I did when I was a kid. Well, I tried to take lessons a few years ago, but it really never clicked with me. I love piano so much, I have my own, as you might have seen in the house. It's untouched." Lu Han knew it was his slight tipsiness affecting how much he spoke, but he didn't care. He never revealed that much information to new friends, but Chanyeol seemed to be an exception, since he was so involved in music.
Chanyeol thought for a moment, scrunching his eyebrows together. Then he made an 'ah' noise and snapped his finger. "What?" Lu Han asked, resting his head on the table.
Chanyeol grinned, threading his fingers together. "I could come over with Minseok tomorrow, if you want? His schedule is free, and I'm sure he could help you," he suggested rather excitedly.
Lu Han had too much alcohol in his system to rationally think about the question, but he mumbled a "Sure" anyways and shrugged his shoulders.
--
A loud series of knocks woke Lu Han up, and he groaned and rolled over, looking at the time on his alarm clock that read an ungodly 9 A.M. If Baekhyun was locked out of the house again, Lu Han was going to kill him.
Stumbling over to the front door, Lu Han twisted the knob but the outside force pushed him back with the door as a familiar tall lanky figure marched in with a specific pianist in tow.
Shit.
Lu Han had completely forgotten that they would be coming over. Taking a good look at what he was wearing-plaid pajama bottoms and an old t-shirt-he decided he would at least need to fix his appearance before they could find his place behind the door.
Baekhyun came trampling down the hallway and greeted Chanyeol with an enthusiastic grin and a hug. After a few seconds, Baekhyun let go with a faint pink dusting his cheeks.
Minseok stood awkwardly at the side before his attention was caught by something in the living room. He made his way over there.
Lu Han took that moment of distraction to make a break for his room, running down the hallway and locking his door behind him. Changing into a graphic tee and sweatpants, he decided it was a casual enough look and then he played with his hair until it didn't look like a bird's nest. Satisfied, he left his room only to come face to face with Minseok. The smaller man held up his memo pad and made it level with Lu Han's eyes.
"You have a nice piano," it read. Lu Han rubbed the back of his neck as he smiled shyly, mouthing out a "thank you" to Minseok who gratefully understood.
Minseok wrote on the memo pad again. "I bet it sounds amazing. Why don't you play it?" Lu Han shrugged. He signed out "learn" and pointed to himself before crossing his arms to make an 'x'. Minseok's mouth formed into an 'o' and he nodded, putting his pen back in his pocket before turning and walking off to the living room where Chanyeol and Baekhyun were.
Lu Han stayed for a few moments, staring at the wall across from him. He had never been that close to Minseok before, and wow, he looked so stunning in his natural state. He flinched at the foreign sound of a piano being played in the house, and he went over to it quickly because he knew who was behind the sound.
For once, Chanyeol and Baekhyun were quietly seated on the couch and seemingly absorbed by the music.
A glance over at the piano and there Minseok was, playing with as much fervor as Lu Han saw at the symphony. It was a different piece-Lu Han had no clue what it was, which was weird, because he knew of almost every classical piece in the records.
When Minseok was finished playing, he swung his legs around the bench and shifted so he was facing the small audience. Lu Han closed his mouth and raised his hands, clapping loudly. The other two soon joined in. Minseok gave them a bright gummy smile before motioning to Lu Han to sit beside him.
Lu Han hurried to sit down next to Minseok and he wrote down on the pad. "What piece was that? I've never heard of it before." Minseok smiled bashfully. Lu Han handed the notebook over and Minseok hesitated before taking it.
"It's a composition of my own."
Lu Han stared at the other in shock, admiration shining in his eyes. Wow. A deaf pianist composing his own piece. It sounded perfect.
Lu Han suddenly hugged the smaller man, breaking away quickly because Dammit how stupid can I get?
He could hear the duo at the back snickering and he muttered a curse. Meeting Minseok's eyes, he saw that Minseok was just smiling at him with a warm blush on the man’s cheeks. Lu Han decided that Minseok's flushed demeanor was one of his personal favorites.
