My next-gen consoles are sold.

Going to take the bags of games around to fetch a decent price.

Already, this feels so very freeing. I look forward to a more focused life.

I'm disappointed in you. That's all.

What's so horrible about playing video games? Does it really take up SO much of your time that you have to throw out all your systems?

I didn't throw them out. I sold them.

And yes, it takes up that much of my time. It's all I've done for the last three months. I've moped and played video games. I didn't want to be distracted by them anymore. So I decided that instead of bothering to keep up with the trends in gaming any longer, I'd dedicate that time to writing and music. I want one of these things to be my career. I'd better damn well practice with every moment I have, right? I kept my old NES and SNES for the sake of some light recreation with folks, but I've invested too much time and energy into keeping up with the Joneses this generation, and for what? It's a waste of time.
