The closest I remember is the Retreat series by Crowswork, which is a crossover with the District. But it's not on AO3. If she has an account, she can go through her reading History page. Here's Retreat, in case she's interested. It's gen.

I don't remember Blair being suicidal but this one had Jim faking his death and Blair freaking out about it.

Blair isn't suicidal in this one, but an FBI agent fakes Jim's death and kidnaps him to testify against his partner's murder.
