I am looking for chapter 19 in the father figure series by Amethyst titled Where have all the heroes gone. It seems to have been completely wiped off the internet. Every website I can find that has a link the links lead to nothing. I located a website that offers it in a book for 35$ but I doubt its validity as its fanfiction and you cant profit

From https://fanlore.org/wiki/Father_Figure I see that part 19 was originally published in a fanzine which are very very rarely free (since paper and printing do cost money, and they may contain fanart which can legally be sold for profit), and folks usually took the exclusivity of fanzines seriously and did not repost their works outside the zines. If someone's still selling the fanzine that's great, but I suggest contacting them before paying to find out all the details such as availability and shipping costs to your location.

It's a shame fanzines have become so rare since their hayday, they were a staple of early fandom.

The book could be valid. Before the internet made fanfiction so commonplace, fans published their stories on paper and called them print zines. It was a thriving industry and many zine publishers sold their zines at fan conventions. Many of them had good artwork and looked quite professional. Sometimes the reason a story came off the net is because a zine publisher/author planned to publish it in print. Now, print zines are much rarer, but are still being actively published and sold by a few die hard publishers

She took all her stuff offline some time ago after getting some pretty heavyhanded criticism over the amount of domestic discipline (corporal punishment) in her stories.

Ah, is that what happened. I know DD used to be popular in TS for a while but then seemed to fall out of favor. Different strokes, I guess, especially with things that are controversial. Nust have been difficult to take.
