So, I started reading Every Day's a Holiday by Scribe (in which Blair manages to celebrate a real holiday every day, a lot of which had to do with eating ice cream) and quickly realized it was a series of four stories. The first one, summer, I've read and I've managed to find winter and spring, but I'm wondering if there's an autumn/fall story? As ( Read more... )

Yeah she wrote four altogether

Everyday’s a Holiday I: Summer by Scribe. Slash
Everyday’s a Holiday II: Autumn by Scribe. Slash
Everyday’s a Holiday III: Winter by Scribe. Slash
Everyday’s a Holiday IV: Spring by Scribe. Slash

There's also a terrific story by Lemon Drop that covers holidays throughout the year.

Two of those links are the same and both lead to part 1. You wouldn't happen to have the link to part 2, would you?

A simple scroogle search says 'Every Day's a Holiday II: Autumn" is here => http://mymongoose.populli.net/mfob4/scri.htm since not all of them are in the author's works listing.

Jim is sold to Blair in Calic0cat's Lifebond series. She only wrote two stories in this series but I really enjoyed them.

Also, litgal's Control Issues series has Blair court appointed as Jim's guardian because sentinels aren't trusted as legal adults.

Thanks.
The Lifebond Series is actually what prompted the request. That's exactly the sort of story I'm looking for, although I would very much like to see more of the 'aftermath' of the sale. Like what Blair does about work and Jim's status and so on.
I love Control Issues as well.

Sorka's Sentinel Guide Research Project doesn't have Jim as a slave but Blair is his guardian since sentinel's are required by law to have guardians.

Thanks!
I think I might have read it, but rereading a good story is always fun!

I'm not sure whether these are what you had in mind.

I haven't read them yet, but they certainly sound like what I was looking for.
Thanks again!

Hi, could you please check in Edit Entry whether you have by accident turned comment screening on in the last day or so? Some of the recent comments were screened and marked as "suspicious comments" (WTF new lj feature?!) and I'd like to make sure it's not the post's fault before I make a support request about it. Please let me know ASAP either way, thank you!

Comment screening is set to journal default. I haven't touched it at all for this post and, since I posted this, this was the first time I used Edit Entry.

Thanks for your fast response!

It turned out to be a new lj feature that screens/marks as spam all "suspicious" comments by default (I made a slightly rant-y post about it here) but I've turned it off now so things should go back to normal. Hopefully. :-)
