I'd like to cleanse my palate from angst. I'd like to read stories where the guys are affectionately supportive of each other. Smarm, slash, and gen are all fine, but they have to care deeply about each other.

I went back looking through my favorites and didn't realize how much angst I normally read and my angst palate cleansers tend to be humor stories, but I found this one that I think will meet your criteria nicely. Truths That Wake by Charlotte Frost is a long, friendship turns to love romantic story. There's a lot of supportiveness in it.

If I may self-rec, just about everything I write is unangsty friendship; supporting and caring about each other is my favorite flavor of Jim & Blair. (My stories are gen, except for two, and even those two are only PG-13.)
