No, because the archivist just put up robots to prevent the WBM from working. I haven't found another place for Karen's fic. If you want copies of it and any other Karen stories I have, I've saved them as htm files and will send you them in a zip.
Why did they do that? When I was trying to track down links for LMFA, the WBM was a lifesaver! Okay, I get that if you wnat your fic down, you want it down, I suppose, though it always saddens me to see fic go...
Quite honestly I don't know. I think it must be the decision of the archivist, because I don't think she would have had time to contact all the authors for their choice. When you read her home page it sounds like she's busy enough without taking that further, time-consuming step of accommodating individual authors' wishes. I expect the only way it will change is if someone takes her up on her offer to take over the archive. I wish I had the skill.
It makes me sad, too. For years now, I've heard about how wonderful Bast's stories are, but you can't find them online anymore. I know she's got her stuff in zines now, but I simply cannot afford to buy them. I'm beginning to think I'll never get to read them.
I wish more authors would realize that taking their stories offline deprives some readers from enjoying these stories.
I know this thread is really old but I found it while looking for this story. It has been reposted under a new name and here is the current link. https://archiveofourown.org/works/804410
