I love the Silver and Black series by Susan Foster, although it's gen, there is a close sentinel/guide bond and some possessiveness. It is a crossover with Charm. click on link, Black and Silver series at the bottom of page.

I forgot to mention that Blair is very sassy, mischievous, cusses like a sailor, etc.. in this one. (but loyal to Jim)
