This sounds very like 'Outside Influences' by Candy Apple, although this is also a TS/ Starsky & Hutch Xover, & is long!

Now I remember why I never reread this story or WANT too!!

The story itself is good, but one part out of the other many parts, I despise it..The part where Jim and Blair got into an accident due to seat-belts etc..The PD and simom, cut the budget and esp for Jim, it's bad, becuz he has to drive an old-beat up truck..

Jim'z father had a conversation with simoem, and I totally agree with what he said..simon is an arrogant ass!!

He took pleasure he telling Jim that he no longer has coverage etc..

Reason why I hated that story; due to that one part of the story!!!

Jim and Blair should've let Bill sue the ass off of the Cascade PD, and simone...

No wonder I never came back for this stupid ass story again...!! Stuff like that just bugs the hell out of me!!

I'm sorry you didn't like the story - I have to admit there are a few things I wasn't too keen - on just liked the overall concept. BTW, have you checked out Candy Apple's 'After All' series? Maybe not everyone's cup of tea, but hit the spot for me when I read it first.
