This is a fantastic reimagining of the relationship. I love the fact that the mystical comes into it all right from the very start. And as to the plot... well, how much you've crammed into this story! It's a rollercoaster of a read, very exciting. I love the way you have shaded canon to produce your AU. It feels like the mirror-world - only *just* different from what we know - and your resolution is beautifully done. Thank you for the great story!
Banbury's artwork is superb - the mirror as a recurring motif is a wonderful idea, and the images are beautiful.
I loved the mirror concept and how you melded aspects of canon within your AU. I also like how you left Blair questioning at the end because as a reader I was also wondering some of the same things :D Thanks for an entertaining and enjoyable read.
I liked the mirror and two tone colour effect you had going on throughout the artwork in this story, it was very intriguing at first glance and now that I've read the story I can see how apt it was.
"Forewarned is forearmed" was never truer than here. I also will do my best not to spoil for others by keeping comments general. Although I love canon universe, I really liked the differences here. I'm not just talking about the bottom line changes but also the little things, such as Blair's back story, Naomi's decisions and how Megan and Simon fit in. All in all you made it very logical, left some things mystical and everyone is still recognizable. Well done.
Banbury, I liked not only the concept of the mirror image in all of the artwork but also the counterpoint of B/W and color. Very smart idea and well realized. The images you picked fit in very nicely; I liked the collage in the first picture and have always loved that head shot of young Garett. He looks so young and full of wonder.
Thanks. I've always loved playing with AUs - putting known characters innto a different - well, world - is a sort of mid-way point between fanfic and original writing (more so than putting OCs, without using canon characters, into a known fictional universe) although I think that in a sense all fanfic is AU because everyone is writing inside their own personal vision/interpretation of the canon world.
