This is a truly wonderful story about romance, love and life. I really adore the show Flashpoint, so that helped in reading it. They are so darn cute in the series and just as cute in the story, too. This writers description of Toronto is amazing. I felt like I was there. When I went looking for artwork backgrounds, I found the cover background and knew that was 'the' one. It's so amazing somewhat like the story is. I really want to go to Canada now, it just seems like a place to go and spend time looking at places and things. It was a joy doing the artwork for this one and A.S. Nightbird was very charming, sweet and kind. I couldn't have asked for better people to do art for this year. I love how romantic Jim and Blair are in this one. Even Simon gets a good role in it. It's an extremely enjoyable story, so I hope you all read it and see what I mean. Go. Read. Comment. :)
Hugs, Patt

Thanks, Patt, for all the lovely words! You make me blush. Do go to Canada! I'm sure you'll love it. I watch a lot of Canadian TV series, so I feel like I've been to Toronto, even though I've never been there. (Went to Ottawa as a small child and have distant relatives in Ontario and Quebec.) Working with you was such a joy! You made my first Big Bang such a pleasure and so much fun. Your artwork dramatically enhanced my story. You did such a beautiful job. I've been writing fanfic for over 16 years, but this was the first time in this fandom. Thanks again for everything, and I'm so glad you liked the story! :-)

Lovely story! Although I've never heard of the other series, it didn't detract at all from my enjoyment because the characters were integrated so well. And the story subject was such a happy one anyway - except of course, for poor Vince, but you can't have everything! I have a good friend who lives in Toronto, so it was great that it was used as the location - another plus. ( and you'd NEVER get me to stand on the glass in the CN Tower!) Thank you for a great read.

And Patt - more lovely artwork! Particularly liked the inclusion of the Tee shirt - very droll!

Thank you both

Thank you for the kind comments about the artwork. I lucked out getting two great stories this year to work on. :)

Thanks, Kate, for reading my story. I'm so glad you enjoyed it. I have a special place in my heart for the city of Toronto, so there was never any doubt as to where the story would be set. I would love to do the CN Tower Edge Walk! (Go to YouTube and type that into their search engine. The video will make your hair stand on end!) I'd stand on the glass floor, too. I never knew it existed until I wrote this story, but I knew about the Edge Walk. Yeah, poor Vince. That's what I love about Flashpoint - nothing is black and white, there are only infinite shades of grey, but you still have to do your job and keep the peace. Patt did a fabulous job, didn't she? I came across the tee shirt on a site. It's actually for bomb squad members! I couldn't resist throwing it into the story, and Patt did great job recreating it as artwork.

Thanks again for reading!

I don't know the show Flashpoint so I took the time to watch a bit on You Tube to get some background. It looks to be a very watchable show.

This was a very enjoyable read. I don't want to give spoilers but it was very romantic with lots of 'Aw' moments:-) I appreciated all the rich detail of the setting and in the final scenes. The art was lovely. Thank you!

Thanks for reading, Kernel! Flashpoint is a fantastic show that deals with police work in terms of how it affects the officers/constables, and shows that it is not black and white. It was a no-brainer for me to bring the Sentinel characters together with the Flashpoint characters. They blended so well. I'm so glad you enjoyed the story and Patt's fantastic artwork. Thanks, I always try to make my scenes create pictures in a person's mind. I love when authors do that for me. ;-)

That was a nice piece of romance - I can well believe in Jim making these sorts of cunning plans. *g*

I liked the first 'splash page' cover pic in particular, and all the pics were nice.

I know what you mean, Mab. It grabbed me from the moment I found it online. So, I knew then that it was going to be the perfect cover piece for her story. :) So glad you liked it.

Thanks for reading, Mab! Glad you enjoyed it. Wasn't that cover pic fantastic??? I fell off my chair when Patt showed it to me. It was so perfect, and I've never seen a Toronto skyline photo quite like it before. Patt did an amazing job for me and my story! She really made my first Big Bang an utter joy. I'm so glad Natalie L convinced me to do it. It was such an amazing experience to cap off my over 16 years of writing fanfic.

I didn’t read the summary before jumping right into the story. What a wonderful surprise to find a crossover with Flashpoint. As a fan of TS, FP and the city of Toronto, I enjoyed this fic very much.

Thanks for reading, NYPagan! I'm so glad I was able to pleasantly surprise you. ;-) I'm the same as you ... love all three. And all three blended so nicely. I had a load of fun writing this story.
