I really like the concept that although they were connected (physically) on that first meeting that they still needed to connect on the spiritual level and that now, somehow in a weird kind of way, it was resurfacing and Cascade too as if they were completing the circle somehow to make them whole. I'm glad that it turns out that Simon was accepting of them as a couple all along and that his only issue was how the friendship/bond dynamic was altering between them.

Snailbones: The artwork is intense in its simplicity, interlinking the images on top of one another gives the illusion of uniting them and yet with the faded/cut away edges it also gives the feeling of incompletion too, a very cool effect. I think leaving it in BW adds punch to it too. Nice job with the font choice too, the differing colour tones and the odd smudges is a neat too.

Thank you! I was trying for that layering effect to give the idea of them being so intertwined, so I'm really pleased it worked for you - and the font choice and wording took me twice as long as the rest of the artwork *headdesk* *g*

Your welcome. I can just imagine it taking that long as well *hugs*....the effort was worthwhile though, it looks great.

Interesting story! I always like reading different takes on how they met. And I really loved the artwork for this story - the impression of depth in the portraits and the use of the different fonts and black and white and grey was really striking!

Wow, what an angsty, complex story that had a satisfying finish. I also am glad that they were able to reconnect with Simon.

I really liked the contrast in the art between Jim and Blair. Jim's image was so sharp and Blair's was soft and liminal, kind of like a wood block print. It seemed to reflect how he was of more than the one reality. Super.
