“…Erika?” Aoi’s eyes slightly widened a bit. She looked just as gorgeous as she did in middle school. It had been at least 8 years since he last saw her.
“I thought I saw you, Aoi-kun,” Erika smiled as she walked towards him and settled onto a swing next to him.
“…gonna introduce me to your friend?” Ruki asked, raising an eyebrow. He knew exactly who Erika was. Aoi had a huge crush on that girl when they were in grade school, and she shot him down countless of times. Aoi had never really given up on her even in middle school, and again, he got shot down while she went off to their little dances with the so called cool kids.
“Oh, yeah. Erika, this is Ruki,” Aoi gestured his hand towards the little man who tossed the cigarette aside and stomped it into the sand.
“Yo,” Ruki said, turning his head to the side to spit into the sand. Erika cringed at Ruki’s rude behavior and forced a smile onto her angelic face.
“Yes…I think I remember you. You’re the boy that hung around with Aoi often. Nice to see you again,” she glanced over at Aoi again. “So, how have you been? I haven’t seen you since I moved,” she gave him a little smile. She couldn’t help but let her gaze linger a little longer. Aoi had certainly grown to be a handsome man. If only she had taken her chances in grade school and throughout middle school. It was a shame.
“Yeah, it has,” Aoi nodded. He was unsure of what else to say. “I’m still in college. I plan on majoring in business or something. I wish I had a bigger ambition though,” he said with a laugh and smile that made Erika go weak in the knees. “What about you?” he asked her feeling somewhat curious.
“Huh? Oh…” she blushed a bit, feeling embarrassed for her actions. She was no fan girl.
Especially from a nerd she once knew. No, wait. That was the girl she once was. Who she was now, was totally different from how she was in the past. Ever since she got out high school, she had been more sensitive and concerned about how other people felt. And one of the people she had hurt most was Aoi.
“Erika?” Aoi tilted his head for a moment after a long moment of silence.
“I’m majoring in Accounting,” she suddenly spoke out, and started to swing back and forth a little.
“Oh wow, you can make good money,” Aoi commented politely as he heard a snort from his left.
Ruki fought all the urges to kick Aoi off the swing and tell the older one that he was still there. He didn’t understand how Aoi would even give this woman the time of day.
“Anyway, we have someplace to go,” Ruki grumbled. He walked over to Aoi and grabbed him by the wrist. Yanking the taller man off the swing, he started to drag Aoi away from Erika.
“Eh?! Ruki, what are you doing?!” Aoi’s eyebrows furrowed together at the shorter man.
“I’m getting you away from her,” Ruki spoke as if he truly hated that woman behind them. In a way, he truly did despise her. She had done nothing but treat Aoi like shit when they were younger.
“Ah! Please wait!” Erika hopped off the swing and ran towards the two.
“Damn it she just doesn’t give up,” Ruki turned his head around to see Erika approaching them.
“Aoi,” she put a hand at Aoi’s shoulder.
“Eh?” he turned around to look at her. Aoi understood the fact that they were older, but he still didn’t understand what Erika wanted with him. It was the same wasn’t it? She never really showed any interest in him when they were younger. Why was she showing the slightest hint of interest now?
“Um…” she turned to the side to dig for something in her purse. Taking out a pen, she took Aoi by the hand and lifted up the sleeve of his coat. She scribbled something on his forearm and tucked her pen back into her purse. Aoi looked down at his arm to find Erika’s phone number. His eyes widened in surprise and he looked at her in a confusing manner.
“What…”
“It’s my cell number. I’d like to catch up with you, Aoi. I haven’t seen you in ages,” he gave him a small smile and looked down at the ground. “Well…remember to call okay?” she looked at him once more. Tucking a strand of hair behind her ear she turned around and walked off.
“…Should I-” Aoi asked Ruki as he pointed at the number on his arm.
“Reject her,” Ruki said it rather bluntly.
“Huh?! That’s mean, Ruki-kun,” Aoi frowned at the man and shook his head. “What do you mean reject her? Did you realize what just happened? The girl of my dreams just asked me out. I never had a chance with her and look at me now! You should be happy for me that I’m about to have a girlfriend,” he felt an urge to smirk, but Ruki would probably jump on him and kick his ass.
“I don’t give a damn,” Ruki snorted. “So much for being committed, Aoi.”
“What do you mean?”
“Have YOU forgotten what you just said to me before that bitch came over?”
“Watch your mouth Ruki,” Aoi’s grin turned into a frown. “It’s so typical of you. You’ve always been the rude one haven’t you? Weren’t you the one that told me to go out? Have fun and meet some girls? So here she is, giving me her number and you can’t be somewhat happy for me?”
“I’d like you to go out, but not with HER,” Ruki looked up at Aoi and glared at him. “Didn’t you just ask me if Uruha took you seriously? If you still like that bitch so much, why do you even give a fuck if Uruha takes you seriously or not?”
Ruki had Aoi speechless. Aoi hated to admit it, but Ruki was right. He wasn’t sure if he was committed himself. How was he going to tell Uruha that he wanted to stop fooling around? Letting out a sigh, he ran his hand through his hair.
“…Sh…Shut up Ruki…”

“Aoooi, I’m hungry,” Uruha whined as he wrapped his arms around Aoi’s body and rested his head on the shorter man’s shoulder.
“What do you want to eat?” Aoi sighed.
“I unno…” Uruha pouted into Aoi’s neck and settled his lips onto the soft skin. Aoi was still holding his mail on the kitchen counter, and he had taken off his coat awhile ago. Uruha caught a glimpse of numbers on Aoi’s forearm. “Eh…what’s this?” his arms slid over to Aoi’s as he turned it around to get a better look.
“An old middle school friend gave me her number,” Aoi tossed the mail aside and turned around to face him. “Jealous?” he asked,a teasing smirk forming onto his lips. Uruha pouted and grinned before giving Aoi a chaste kiss on his lips.
“I’m actually proud of you,” he murmured against the brunette’s lips. That was an answer Aoi didn’t expect. Aoi pouted at Uruha’s response and dragged his lips away from the blonde’s.
“What do you mean by that? I’m capable of getting women,” he said, stubbornly.
Actually that was a lie since Erika had been the first girl that had ever given him a number. In truth, Aoi could have probably gotten any girl he wanted. He was a smart, handsome and sexy looking young man to be exact. The women were always shy about asking him out, and he didn’t really bother to ask anyone out either. If only Aoi understood that.
“What do you mean what do I mean?” Uruha asked, raising an eyebrow. “You get to have a good hands on experience with a girl no?” he laughed at Aoi’s pouty and expression. As much as he liked Aoi, the brunette wasn’t totally gay anyway. It wasn’t surprising to him that Aoi had snagged a girl. It wasn’t like he had claimed Aoi for himself so he had no right to keep Aoi away from this girl.
“Well…yes, but you-us-”
“Don’t worry about me Aoi. We never said we were official did we? I’m just here whenever you need me. I’m sorry if I had to be your first with the experiences and all, but best of luck to you and this girl,” he said that with a smile which pissed Aoi off even more.
As much as Aoi wanted someone to be happy for him, the person he had least expected was Uruha. For once, he was going to have his crush from elementary and middle school, so he should he happy for himself right? But why the hell was he feeling angry at the same time? Aoi frowned at the confusion. He hated having mixed up feelings.
“Well anyway, if you need any advice, feel free to call me up,” Uruha said with a smirk before heading for the door to slip his shoes on.
“Wha-wait, where are you going Uruha?!” Aoi ran over to Uruha who had already slipped on his shoes by now.
“I’m kinda tired. I figured I’d get outta your hair for tonight,” he smiled and ruffled at Aoi’s hair. Aoi frowned and slapped at his hand.
“I thought you said you were hungry,” he pouted as he continued to stare at the blonde.
“Ah yeah I thought I was,” he said. With a little chuckle, he grasped at the door knob and opened it. Aoi didn’t want Uruha to leave. Not yet anyway; or was it more like never?
“Uruha waittt…” his arms shot out to grip and hug at Uruha’s arm. Uruha looked down at Aoi, confused.
“Aoi, you’ll be fine. Just be the gentleman you are,” he put an arm around Aoi to pat at his hair. Aoi’s grip tightened at the fact that Uruha just didn’t understand the situation. “You’re not bad of a kisser either so you’re all set,” he wrapped his other around Aoi to bring the rest of Aoi’s body into his arms.
Aoi held onto Uruha and immediately buried his face into the blonde’s neck. Uruha was glad when he felt the tension release in Aoi’s body, but he couldn’t stay any longer. It would do them both no good. Somehow, he could sense Aoi’s body tensing up again. Moving his hands up to cup Aoi’s cheeks he made Aoi look him in the eye.
“You wanna practice on me?” he asked, jokingly, hoping that would cheer the brunette up a little. Instead of getting a slap in the face, Aoi took advantage of Uruha’s offer and pushed his lips against Uruha’s plush ones.
Uruha’s eyes widened at Aoi’s spontaneous action. He was so shocked; he ended up gaping as if it was his turn to be passive. Aoi noticed the access Uruha had subconsciously granted him and slipped his tongue past Uruha’s soft lips. Finally realizing that it may be the last time he could ever kiss Aoi like this again, he snapped out of his daze and returned Aoi’s kisses with the same amount of fervor and need. Tightening the grip and hold onto the taller man, Aoi tiptoed for a moment to pull Uruha as close as he could. For once, Aoi had put all his emotion into this kiss, knowing he was going to regret his decision later on.
