The Master and Luna Lovegood have a brief conflict about what to make and then decide to bake a cake. The Master mixes the batter delicately with some sort of cooking doomsday device and spends extra time making it even and beautiful and delicate for his guests.
Luna is in charge of decorating the cake. The Master quickly becomes horrified that his beautiful cake has been covered in black liquorice and Bertie Bott's Every Flavor Beans. Not to mention that she is a demon with frosting and- did she put that in her mouth? And…is that whip cream, on his cake? Wait, Radishes? Radishes? He might have demolished her, but she puts Jelly Babies on the cake and he has to sigh and let her continue living.
It pains him even more when he finds that the cake actually doesn’t taste half bad. Though, he still wishes that she would stop putting frosting on the cake while they’re eating.

Once aponz zel tymez there was a cat named Pelleas. He failed! He was all “I can haz cheeseburgers?” and world was all “No!” and Pelleas went on to find his fatherz and it turned out it waz Ashnard and he was happy “I haz a father!” and Pelleas was gud. The Master is the older jaded one. His means are not always…kosher. And sometimes he uses laser beams on perfectly innocent people, but damn if he doesn’t get the work done! Sure, one could say that he’s mad…and they’d be right! But…he- he- he saved a kitten once! It was in a tree, see! Good guy…except after that he blew up a highly populated island and trained the kitten to be an assassin!
