Thank you so much! I wasn't sure how it was going to turn out, as I wrote it at 2AM. =D

Excellent. The prose was lovely, as was Richard's reflection on his inappropriate behaviour. I hope you continue with this as a series.

Thank you!

I don't know what I'm going to do with this yet. I enjoy writing drabbles, especially Others-centric drabbles. We'll see.

I'm a huge Alex/Richard shipper and there is a complete lack of Richard/Alex fic so you don't know how much this made me squee just to see it.

This is truly fantastic, the tone is perfect and the details perfect. Underneath it all is this pain/self reproachment that makes me throb for him.

*licks* I love it :D

Ohh, I also meant to say I don't know if you are interested in cross-posting this at all but there is a community dedicated to richard/alex - Alex_Richard and one for the the others (everyone has to love the others right?) called Island_rejects.

This is a spot-on exploration of one very possible dark side of Alex's life with the Others. (Well, that's a long list, but you take my point.) Karl's treatment always seemed bizarre to me, even by Ben's sociopathic standards; the idea that Ben cooked it up in a fit of rage makes perfect sense. And Richard, caught in the position of hypocrisy and so well-placed to abuse Ben's trust. Interesting choice to give him enough of a conscience to feel a little bit guilty about it, thinking of her as a child - but it works very well, especially given that that's all he acknowledges, ignoring the full implications of her position. Lovely work.

Another note: I can't believe there's someone with an "Alex" tag who I haven't friended! May I add you to my list?

Thank you so much. :)

I've always found Richard and Ben's relationship really fascinating, mainly due to the fact that we know so little about it. Darlton has referred to Richard as Ben's right-hand man, and Richard was at one time higher in the Others hierarchy than Ben, so what happened there? When, why and how did their roles reverse? Season 5 can't come quickly enough.

*adds you*

Hmmm. This piece is well written with lovely imagery. I must confess I'd never thought of Richard/Alex before but I think you've converted me. It certainly is an interesting idea.

Hah, really? I've always found Richard/Alex very believable, pseudo canon if you will.

Thank you. :)
