What an intriguing story. I can see Richard (and the true Others) scouting the world looking for all the special people they need to keep the island going.

I love how this reads both as a truly frightening fairy tale and Lost canon. The mood is fantastic, full of uncertainty and danger. I also love the way you show us what Sawyer's childhood might have been, keeping to himself, defiant, smart, but still a kid.

I'm so glad I found this story.
