Her hatred for him had been largely unjustified. He had done his job, and done it well -- who else would have followed her so far and for so long? He had been diligent, dedicated to the point of obsession. He had probably had a family.

Poignant, especially since I never really thought about it either. I like the image of him coaching his son's baseball team. Now that I think about it, I could totally see that. Well done.
