1: HOO HOO HOO I will gladly take the blame for this. Though recently my FANART SAVINGS have been more along the lines of John/Karkat kissyface stuff rather than adorable meowrails.

1. I am UTTERLY UTTERLY OKAY with John/Karkat kissyface, those boys are just TOO CUTE FOR WORDS.

2. Good to know! I appear to have missed it in BOTH readthroughs now. Oh, well. THAT'S WHAT THE THIRD READTHROUGH IS FOR, Y/Y?

3. Argh, voices! There are TOO MANY VOICES in this canon, and some of them - Dave Strider and Rose Lalonde, I'm looking at you - are complicated far above and beyond just a certain pattern of speech and/or chat style. That's partly why I started with Equius and Nepeta. As characters go, their voices comparativley simple.

Thing One: Heh, the first time I read through the part where Nepeta and Equius are introduced I didn't like it either. But then it turned out they're moirails and looking out for each other and it's incredibly sweet, and the next time I read their introduction I saw it in another light. Oh Equius.

Thing Two: The word is used in canon, but it's never explained.

Thing Three: Pesterlogs are awesome! Also, if you wrote the fic and mentioned it, you pretty much have to share it, don't you?

2. Yes, I've seen it in several fics now interpreted as the way Trolls learn (by... eating stuff?) since they have not-overly-verbal guardians and also Troll school would make NO SENSE, but I managed to miss it in both my readthroughs of canon. Maybe I'll catch it next time? (Because it's not even worth denying that I'm not going to be gearing up for another re-read in the near future.)

3. I... it's just, I'm up to my eyeballs in all this wonderful nuanced Homestuck fic that does interesting things with sexuality and society and characterization and then I have this silly little interlude consisting of nothing but a chatlog and I just - I don't even know if I CAN make myself post it!

2. Yeah, that's how I interpreted it. It's in my headcanon that trolls have some kind of ancestral memory that is activated by certain nourishment. Because most lususes don't speak, and adult trolls stay away from children, so...

In canon, it's mostly Karkat yelling at other people about not being schoolfed enough. XD

3. But silly sweet little pesterlog interludes are good! Not everything has to be profound, sometimes it's enough for a fic to make you smile. :D

2. Ah, yes. It is occasionally easy to miss things Karkat is yelling about. They sort of blend in with the rest of the hilarious rage. *grin*
