Eventually Jim reached his limit for crowds, and Lana was happy enough to leave on his arm. They walked in no particular direction, stopping to kiss every few feet, and eventually found their way out to Selkie Cove - an appropriate enough place for trying to rebuild their relationship from the beginning

Lana leaned on him to keep her balance as she slipped her shoes off to walk in the sand. It was a little cold, but she didn't care, she wanted to feel the sand between her toes. She set them down on a rock, then stretched up to kiss him again. "Do you remember our first picnic here?" she whispered against his lips.

"How could I forget?" Jim smiled, supporting her lightly. "It was slutty of you to ask me out so quickly, remember?"

"It totally was," she said with a smile. "But I'm so glad I did."

She looked up at him with a smile, the wind from the ocean blowing her hair back. "And remember, I was the one who asked you out the first two times. I must have really liked you."

"Must have," Jim smiled, reaching up to tangle his fingers in her hair, thumb brushing over her temple. "You saw something in me I still can't see in myself."
