Fantastic narrative yet again! That last picture looks VERY foreboding. In fact, I think that's the hail-cloud I may have driven home in earlier actually... The sea look *so* blue as well. Almost Mediterranean.
I can't believe people actually TOOK APART something thousands of years old and rearranged it into a chair for ponces. Er, I mean druids. That's proper vandalism to me. Yes, the council estate isn't the best thing to build around a dolmen but in a few hundreds of years the paint will have been blown off by the wind and the glass crushed back to sand... Nature always triumphs, eventually.
There's a strange obelisk/monument overlooking Todmorden that reminds me of those guardhouses. Its called "Stoodley Pike". I used to believe the old man my dad knew who said it was built for witches who were too lazy to take their hats off indoors...

cheers hunny, i can honestly say the irish sea doesnt usually look like that. a shame also that the trees in the middle cause the hills in the background are really volcanic looking.
theres actually loads around the country that have been dismantled, usually for building materials. mush of the fairy culture protected them from the natives but it didnt have such an effect on the upper classes unfortunatly.
am aw, that stoodley park stories cute. it reminds me of the huge door beside the bank of ireland that my dad told me was for giants. and he told me all the statues were bad men who got lead poured over them as punishment. that took me a while to get my head around.
That was awfully nice of Bono to say hi to me, especially since I have been shite about listening to the new CD as yet.
These are great pictures. I want to sit in the ponce chair, too! That last picture is brilliant. Of course, you have the advantage of a country far better-looking than mine.
That last picture is just gorgeous. Those yellow flowers are just divine against all that blue.
As for your other pictures, the dolmens always make me wonder who, what or why someone decided, "Hey, let's put these really freakin' heavy rocks on top of each other!"

That last picture really caught my eye. Can we still vote for pictures that look like Ireland? Cause that last one takes my vote for sure.

That being said: the chair looks quite comfy, but it's a pity they ruined the ruin.
