Here is a non-canonical encounter that many of us would have liked to see. I originally wrote it back in 2007, as part of a longer fic called "A Tale of Two Doctors" in which Ten and Five get to meet for a little longer after "Time Crash" - long enough for Rose to give Five a little advice on not abandoning past companions:

I mustn't have friended you by 2007 because I've only just read A Tale of Two Doctors for the first time. It's great to see some Doctor/Rose that likes who they were in Season 2006 but still recognizes they were flawed people with some important growing to do. I wonder if mightn't be a key truth which the more manic 'shippers don't recognize: that their relationship as it was portrayed in Season 2006 was only the beginning stage of a relationship, not one that had reached its stable metabolism, which takes a relationship years to do. But then, perhaps that's the issue with manic shippers: they believe omg first romance ought to last, or does last, forever. Well, now I'm rambling and I'm not certain either you haven't covered this ground before, but I did like the story a lot.

Thank you - it was probably the best DW fic I ever wrote. It just seemed to flow and it still surprises me how naturally Five's voice came to me.
