Thanks for the "This is your captain speaking" PSA. Unsurprisingly, you sound very British. :)

It's hard to keep track of that Sin City edition here. Because of its rating it can't be sold on the regular websites and I don't recall seeing it in the stores either. Though I will have a look for it tomorrow since I will buy one or two DVDs anyway. Children of Men was advertised for 7 Euros yesterday which means at that price I will finally stop waiting for a new edition.

Well, when I popped the discs in, the only initial language options on offer were English and German, so I immediately wondered if it was readily available over there!

It is available here (or at least it was), just not easy to find. I put it on my watch list at amazon once it came out. But for some reason, just after a few weeks, it became unavailable there. And I didn't wanted it so badly as to pay the initial full price (something like 30-40 Euros). And I didn't see it when casually browsing through the aisles of our big electronics stores in recent months.

Ah, right. The main reason for recommending it is, after the relative Special Features wasteland of the film's first DVD release, they've really gone to town on this one. Even the original Theatrical Cut on Disc 1 gets three different commentary tracks. It borders slightly upon overkill in that regard, but being able to watch the four stories sequentially (and enhanced with the fleshed-out scenes) on Disc 2 does make a genuine difference.
