I'm in total agreement. I think there's too much of that state-side. People boast about seeing their "therapist" and the need to "talk".

It's just too drippy, sappy, etc. etc.

It's everywhere. America may have turned therapy and self-analysis (with the emphasis on anal...) into growth industries, but there's definitely a very strong export market.

My fervent hope is that, despite apparently having it metaphorically "squeezed out" by too many *hugs*, the spine of the human species may one day grow back...
