Shortly after Avalon's birthday last summer, I bought a Groupon deal for half-price for whale watching, and bought six, thinking it could be a birthday present and she could take a friend. And of course, I almost forgot about them. They expired at the end of January, and earlier in the month, there was stormy weather and after that, a huge swell

It was really nice just to get out on a boat, even if we didn't see any whales.

If you had a way to get down to Dana Point, I'd send you one of the half-price cards we got (half-price is $16). Each one of us got one and they're good for four people each, so we're not going to use all of them. Maybe you could take your daughter.
