I've played quite a lot of Viva Piñata. :)

He's been interested in it for a long time, but we haven't had a game console since Super Nintendo. He finally found a PC version on eBay for $6; I could hardly say no to that!

And it's pretty cool, kind of like animated ecological succession - so there's almost a biology lesson in there, too.
