Love the earrings! I stopped wearing earrings years ago when I was on the phone all the time at work. Now I don't bother because when I put in a pair, even with Neosporin on the posts beforehand, they make my ear holes hurt and eventually get infected, even stainless wires.

I think the fireworks look cool with the palm trees in front of them!

We stayed inside and kept cool. Heard fireworks both Sunday and Monday evenings.

The earrings are really light - made of wood only about 1/8" thick. They had a bunch fishy types made the same way - rays, birds, all kinds of animals. I'm sure they'd make great necklaces too!

Fireworks - those are three of over 200 I shot. Anyone who looks at my Flickr account is going to regret it. ;p

Cool is good. When we got back from parade-walking, I had to hide in our AC bedroom for awhile. Although I'm sure it's nowhere near what it is in Texas - I'm just a heat lightweight.

I know lots of the older homes here still have unit air but a lot of the people pay the money to get central air.

One of our friends had to get two new units for her house and they dried the air out so much she woke up with a bad headache moving into a migraine and her son was having nosebleeds. She made her son search for the humidifiers they had stored in a closet, up high and in the back because she said he was young and limber. LOL!

One of our criteria with house-hunting is central air. Though rat is slowly getting used to a warmer room due to the rising energy costs.

Aren't they great? Wearing 'em right now and I can't even feel them, they're so light.

Probably my only nod to femininity is I love dangly earrings.
