Wow, so I'm more than two years late (for the first season), but Ultra Galaxy is actually quite enjoyable, once I got a little more familiar with monsters fighting each other without transforming giant hero (well...so far

Ultra Galaxy being set in the future of the Mebius continuity, I keep joking that Oki is Teppei reincarnated. (Though the movie kind of borks the time continuity, technically. Oh well, thus it is when dealing with real actors who age at real rates.)
I saw Minami Shouta live once. He's so totally different from Rei - -he seemed like a real sweetheart. I've never been that fond of Rei, but I liked his actor after that! :)
IIRC, the next episode of UG: NEO is utterly cracktastic.
I think no one else from GUYS appear in the movie, though, so maybe Oki could actually be Teppei's reincarnation? :) But yeah, seems this movie messes up with time continuity. Doesn't seem to be an easy way to tell how far into the future UG took place after Mebius, though, since I don't think I see Earth even once in UG (and doubt it appears in the movie either), but maybe I just don't know where to look (for the way to tell the timeline, I mean).
Rei's actor being a real sweetheart is something I'm happy to hear, because as much as I like rebel-type characters, I probably can't deal with them in real life. And I would love to be able to see him live one day.
Next episode. Ah, yes, it was totally cracktastic. I saw it, loved it, and a little surprised that people seemed to pretend it didn't happen (because I find virtually no mention of it). Oh well, I think even the series itself pretends it didn't happen because the recap at the beginning of episode 9 is from the events in episode 7. ^^;
