Ooooh, interesting - thank you! I suspect the five-year-olds are people who don't put a year of birth, so it comes out as 00 and the system interprets it as 2000.

I have to admit, if I were a 56-year-old LJer and was treated as nonexistent by the official page, I'd be kind of miffed.

I think that bulge at 45 might be the evidence you want for roleplayers … 1960 is the HP Lexicon year for Snape, Lily Evans, and the Maurauders' birthdays.

Notice there's a big or little peak at lots of 5n years. It's like a fairly normal normal, plus (or times, or function combination) with a sawtooth...
