I'm sitting in the living room at Relativity (using their wireless for spod) while sitting out in a game of No Merci. It's a slightly strange game where you have a deck with 24 distinct integers randomly distributed between 3 and 35 and 11 counters per person ( Read more... )

Is it effectively a cross between multi-round Prisoner's Dilemma and Mornington Crescent?

If it's the game I think it is, senji has forgotten to mention that you only count the lowest of a run of cards you have picked up. So if you already have the 27, picking up the 26 is a positive bonus for you, whereas it will score huge negative points for everyone else.

It's a good game.

You are indeed correct. I assume you've played it with angoel, who I gather has it in German...

Indeed. Mainly because the German name ('Geschenkt') is so much better than the English one. And since everything else was language neutral, bar the rules which you could inscribe on a small postage stamp, the name won it for me.
