I don't know. I can't remember whether it was there when I went past it in a taxi when I came home on the 9th, but it had gone by last Friday. It is most strange.

Well, yes, I only noticed it was missing when I didn't run slap bang into the middle of it after taking a poor line around the corner...

It was particularly nasty if there was a bus at that bus stop (especially if it decided to pull out whilst you were overtaking it!)
