1st - Basara is getting it's own dedicated magazine. I'm curious to know just how long this magazine can actually last - I mean, just on Basara? There's enough activity for just this franchise alone, for such a thing to exist? I know this franchise ( Read more... )

The musical would be pretty fitting what with Kenshin and Kasuga ahahaha
My guess is because it's Capcom, they did the same thing with Ace Attorney

eh? why would it be fitting?

Ah, so they've done this before...I'm guessing it was a success as they are trying it again; how interesting.

oh I thought it was funny because Kenshin's design's influenced by Takarazuka performers, i.e. women dressing up as men.
Then during BSR48 I think it was, his mentions how he wanted to start his own musical troupe

Free for the weekend. After that you have to buy it (on Blu/DVD, or perhaps on their streaming website).

I wonder if this is going to be Takarazuka's bread and butter from now on, doing adaptations of games and anime. The Ace Attorney one did really well, from what I heard. Gotta admit, the thought of Takeda and Yukimura singing while slugging each other is damn amusing.

hm, good point; I'll be interested to see how it turns out.

Dang, she looks really awesome! You think there might be clips of the dvd for the two Yukimura musicals online somewhere to view - have you ever come across any?

hmm. Maybe when the performance dates get closer some more information about related past endeavors will pop-up.

"otokoyaku" is what, exactly? If this is an all female troupe...... I'm a bit confused.

True, the "Red&Blue" main would be an obvious choice, but how much more interesting would it be if it went off course a bit. I mean, there is the Ieyasu/Mitsunari "focus"... with some creativity and the right balance (presence of Date/Yukimura), a main in Kenshin and Kasuga could work well.
