So, my fellow Brosara brethren, as we've both the raw, and subbed variants of TLP able to be accessed, I figure it's time for some sort of a discussion page about such things. Spoilers should be expected, of course

Haha well, Basara is at least loosely inspired by actual history, and by the time of Sekigahara, Shingen had been dead for almost 30 years... so it probably would have been a bit of a stretch to have him present. I can see why Motonari is there (despite being equally 30 years dead) since the Mori clan was at the real Sekigahara, but neither the Uesugi nor the Takeda made it to the battle in time. Well, technically Yukimura and Masamune weren't at the real Sekigahara either, but I don't think Capcom would do anything without them. ^^;; As for Keiji... who knows why he was there. His whole storyline is some crazy stuff Capcom invented.
^^;; Since they pretty much changed the whole reason for having the battle of sekigahara in the first place, none of it makes much sense... Wellll Basara is more about things exploding than things making sense.
I love Mitsunari of course, but I actually liked Ieyasu fairly well in the movie. I thought his BONDS BONDS BONDS stuff was really hypocritical in the game.
Oh, I'm perfectly aware of the 'alterations' to canon history that Basara pulls. I just wish we would have gotten more, overall, of the "old guard" dealing with some threat, instead of it always being a variation of Yukimura and Masamune. That's probably what I was hoping for, the younger heroes getting thrown around by the last
I like what the film did with Ieyasu, and again, thought that Mitsunari was a good foil. The major issue I had though with the two, was that Mitsunari had not his rivalry with Ieyasu, without it, he just feels more flat. Him having his rivalry shifted to Date wasn't as well done, I thought, seeing as how Date already has Yukimura as his rival.
I went in with pretty low expectations, so I rather enjoyed it! I also laughed till I cried at all the shameless fanservice and utter ridiculousness. Though, as sjou said, it was sad that Magoichi and Tsuru didn't get even a cameo. But I pretty much expected the movie to be all fanservice and no plot so it's no surprise that less popular characters got shafted. NAZE JAAA
I loved it so much! The whole thing was so ridiculous! Everyone assembling at Sekigahara around Hideaki's nabe pot was too funny. I agree though that the part with Uesugi & Takeda was a bit disappointing.
Btw, was that Sasuke dancing on the roof of the Takeda in the ending credits? xD
