So it seems that a live action play based somehow on Basara 3 is in the works. It'll be running from the middle of October until the end of October. That is about all I can tell you about it as I can't read Japanese.

Ah, you beat me to posting the info. >_<

I can tell you more about it if you like... I was at the event last night, so I probably know some things that aren't on the website. :D?

Though actually, I've known about the play since November (when the script was still being written, and they were still planning on it featuring Keiji), but had to wait until last night's official announcement to be able to talk about it. I'm so glad I can finally flail about it with everyone!

I just saw some sourceless pictures floating around, and was freaking out at the lack of a source so when I found it, I felt the need to share it everywhere I could possibly think of.

As you mentioned, the play is running in October. Unlike last year, they'll be doing a 5-show run in Osaka as well, from October 14-16. And then 11 shows in Tokyo from October 23-30. Tickets are 7140yen. The first ticket lotto starts next week, and general sales are August 13th.

It looks like the plot will cover Sekigahara, and the lead-up to it. Ieyasu and Mitsunari are taking the lead this time, with Masamune and Yukimura pushed into a slightly more supporting role. It might be a bit more crazy on stage for this play, since there are 14 members of the main cast, as compared to the first play's 8. Should be lots of fun, though!

I wish I could have had computer access last night, because I wanted to flail so much after the event. I may have known about the play itself, but the cast announcements were a complete surprise to me.

The first play was two years ago, the second was last Spring (it was the same play, just with a new and better Yukimura *points to icon*). :D I highly recommend them, if you're interested in stageplays at all. It's almost like watching the game come to life - so much action!

oh it's just the stage play, info flying around made it seem like it was gonna be a movie or drama. lmao
