As an overall plot arc, I wasn't particularly taken with the season (it seemed like the most obvious thing in the world that Dean would go to Hell and that he'd get out again, one way or another), but damn it's got some of my favourite characters and some really fantastic episodes. Bela and Ruby and Henriksen, goofy physical comedy that's actually hilarious and a Christmas episode and Dean starting himself down in Dream a Little Dream (serious Ackles, why so awesome?)
