Harry Potter... (there may be a spoiler in a link.)

Am I the only person who can read a series backwards? Essentially spoiling my self? I don't understand the need to accumulate information in a linear fashion... I suppose it does reflect on my default mental state... scatter-shot...

Isn't it the journey, not the destination?

i really enjoy jk rowling's writing style, so spoilers don't bother me. when i was a kid i'd read the last chapter first just to see if the book was worth reading. haha!

When I initially heard of the books (way back when,) I thought of them as Enid Blyton books concatenated together...

Now though, as the characters have grown, and the story continues to develop, I no longer think of them that way...

I didn't do that, but I used to borrow books from a series from the library out of order because they weren't in or they didn't have them... my friends though that I was very strange...

I did not click the link! There is NO WAY I'm gonna risk spoilers. That would seriously be three years worth of therapy I'd need right there for having the last Harry Potter book spoiled for me. I don't know if I'd recover.

God, I wish I was kidding. I am such a dork.

I've read books out of order and also seen a lot of films out of order as well. I used to have a really bad habit of seeing the end of a film, then the middle and then the beginning in separate sittings.

Reading and viewing of things out of linear order can be much more interesting. A well told story doen't need to be told in linear fashion.
