Summary: Takahashi Shako, a normaly student with normal friends, who goes to a normal school and normally loses her wallet...O_O yes, it's normal to lose a wallet. A girl who is cursed with bad luck in love has struck gold when a boy returns her wallet.....i apologize for such a bad summary.
Chapter 7
After their day at the amusement park, Daiki and Shako went to other places like the mall, Shibuya, concerts for their favourite band and a multitude of other sites.
Soon school started again and winter quickly approached. They were watching TV one day trying to avoid the freezing temperature outdoors when Daiki looked at Shako from his spot on the couch. “Nee Shako..” She was sitting on the other side of the couch and there was an obvious space between them. Even though they had been hanging out for months, she still didn’t feel comfortable near him and feared that her face would explode if they were too close.
“Hm?” Shako was spacing out.
“Are you alright? I mean you don’t look so well…” Daiki was worried, Shako’s face was red and she looked seriously ill. He moved closer to her.
“Yeah Dai-chan, I’m….fine” Shako grabbed her forehead when she suddenly felt that the room was spinning.
Shako suddenly collapsed right on top of Daiki. He was obviously shocked that his friend suddenly fainted but he couldn’t exactly move with her lying on top of him. Daiki snaked him arm free from under Shako and felt her forehead. She had a fever, but luckily it could be cured with just some sleep. Being unable to move, he figured he’d be there a while.
…She’s sleeping… what am I supposed to do now…I guess I’ll watch TV…oh gosh I hope she doesn’t take this the wrong way when she wakes up..
Shako’s head fell to the crook of Daiki’s neck and he had to hold back giggles as her hair tickled him. Thankfully, she moved back to the centre of Daiki’s chest and continued to snooze.
A few minutes later, Shako started to stir and she had a look of fear on her face. She clutched onto Daiki’s shirt. Daiki realized that she was probably having a nightmare and he started comforting her by stroking her hair. Normally, he would have just let her suffer, but he remembered her phobia. He used his other hand to pull hers from his shirt and held onto it. “Shhh it’s okay Shako. I’m here.” Shako stopped stirring. Her face looked much calmer and it was now graced with a small smile. Daiki watched Shako sleeping soundly. He was suddenly overcome by an odd feeling which pushed him to brush Shako’s bangs from her forehead and place a kiss there. Once pulling away, he started to think about what just happened.
Eh? I kissed her?! It can’t be. Do I like her? But we’re just friends. She won’t like me back. No Daiki stop! You can’t fall for one of your closest friends! Ack! She’s waking up!
Shako started to stir again and Daiki was afraid that he woke her up. When she stopped moving, he knew that she fell back asleep and let out a sigh of relief. Suddenly he heard a soft mumble. “Dai-chan…”
Did she just say my name?! Does that mean she’s dreaming about me? Does she like me too? That would explain why she always runs when I get too close to her….No it can’t be like that. Muri*.
He was overwhelmed with all his thoughts that he eventually fell asleep with Shako still on top of him, his arms protectively around her.
A/N- heheh thanks for reading again~ I'm sorry i still can't reply to all of your lovely comments T^T So Daiki realizes that he likes Shako. Yesh...So what;s going to happen in the next chapter? Only I know :3 Funny thing, the word document for this fic had the title "it all started with a lost wallet" until my senpai gave me the title lovestruck. When i went to change the title yesterday, i realized that lovestruck as one work is grammatically incorrect. The things you learn....Anyway~ Comments and criticisms are love <3
