I love his poetry. It makes me wish that, instead of standing on the beach in Thurso staring across at the Orkneys, I'd actually gone there.

This particular book - his last - is very cheap on Kindle. There's also a volume of selected poetry, chosen by him, that covers forty years. It's quite reasonable too. I plan to buy it soon. The library has his collected poetry but I struggled with it because I don't like too much in one volume. You can't read poetry in a great wodge like that. I'd rather not read poetry on the Kindle but sometimes it's the only way. I'm grateful that so many of his books have been digitised.

You’re right. Poetry is usually too dense and rich to be taken in large amounts at a time.
