Bonus points for 'analphabetism'! I can see Sledge using that to confuse Snafu, insulting him with words he probably doesn't know.

I almost died when he pointed the knife at Sledge's throat - that sense of danger is so characteristic for Snafu, though.

Your descriptions in this are breathtaking. Seriously, the scene with Snafu almost kissing Sledge's neck is fantastic and you can actually feel the tension.
