It's the honorable thing to do. [Though it also depended on the situation. Safety of his family came first.]

I am glad for that. I hope that this place has examples of humanity that are less... unpleasant, at the very least.

I would also hope to include myself amongst them. [Though Raphael probably wouldn't put him there.]

[Whichever part of that he's saying that to, is hard to tell. Sixteen plus years of ninja training are still screaming at him to be wary of Robert. Even if he seems like a nice guy, it could still all be an act. Leo's had at least two people be nice to him, only to have them turn around, and betray him.

He doesn't want to see the same thing happening to his brother. If he can help it.]

[It's understandable. Robert would sympathize about the paranoia - after all, not having friends for eight years certainly makes the idea of having them more than a little frightening. Though he hasn't been betrayed, per se - but even the idea of getting close is hard.]

At any rate, I am pleased that you would wish to contact me. I was indeed enthusiastic about meeting the rest of Donatello's siblings. [More non-human sapients = always a good thing.]
