Dry Spell? Writer's Block? It sucks.

This new dry spell, or whatever, in which I can no longer find in me the inspiration to write a story, is getting really annoying. I have tried to write. Tried. But every time I do I lose interest after not even the first paragraph has been written. Even if I try to hammer out some more, thinking that maybe, if I keep writing, I can get the juices ( Read more... )

maybe you need to shift your genre. even if all your dreams hadn't come true - which, i'm so glad have happened for you, by the way - you'd have gotten bored of the romance scene in the end. tried & tested! :D try reading other things, experimenting with new scenarios & maybe your muse will return - with new cargo ;)

Hi! I feel like I should introduce myself... I'm from the FP community and a huge fan of your stories (my favorite would have to be Smooth Move, probably because Wes and my crush are strikingly similar).

About your post... I agree with the other commenter. You should try your hand at a different type of story than you normally do (maybe fantasy or a historical piece) and see if your muse returns. Maybe romance has gotten boring for you because you're living your own fairytale right now... which, btw, is so awesome.

Anywho, it would be so cool if you could eventually start writing on FP again, even if you're no longer writing in the high school/romance genre.

I guess not even the best authors can escape from the inevitable writer's block. Don't worry, like what most people would have told you this before, it soons passes, eventually, and then afterwards you will be bursting with great ideas and inspirations ( ... )
