Wu Fan and Chanyeol meet in their sophomore year of high school, somewhere in the middle of chemistry class when they're paired up to discuss homework and Chanyeol is trying to figure out how many words he can make out of the periodic table.

"Krypton Iodine Sulfur!" Chanyeol grins, and slides the paper over to Wu Fan.

Wu Fan looks at the paper, uninterested. "What?"

"Kris!" Chanyeol says. "That's what most people call you, right?"

Wu Fan spends a good thirty seconds staring at him and asking himself if Chanyeol is legitimately a real person.

They become lab partners. Wu Fan's life goes downhill from there.

"Are we supposed to add Sodium or Chlorine to the composition?" Chanyeol asks while comparing two test tubes.

Wu Fan's about to tell him neither, it's Potassium, but the sound of Chanyeol screaming and his sleeve on fire is suddenly extremely distracting. He rushes to pull his shirt over his head, but he's then knocked to the floor
