Semby, what a heart breaker. You made me sniffle! This just completely reminds me of all the reasons I love their relationship - the way they mirror each other, they way they have no doubts about each other (they know that the other one will be attempting the spell at the same moment), the way they can't have each other because the world is their first responsibility.

Beautiful, beautiful fic.

Thank you! In spite of the sadness factor of the thought of them never being able to see each other again (as if they didn't have enough obstacles in canon), I found it kind of uplifting to think of the ways they could still be connected - their bond is a powerful, wonderful thing!
