As of right now I'm completely stumped for an idea for this week's open_on_sunday challenge (It's too broad! I'm not that good at coming up with ideas!), so I'll instead post this little minific I came up with over the weekend
( Read more... )
You have a good way of capturing darkness very succinctly (this one reminds me of both "Moving On" and "Until Every Noise Is Drowned"--especially the bleak poetry of the latter).
The idea of Angel waiting for Buffy to turn him after his Sanshu? Breaks my heart.
Thanks muchly for the positive hate! :D Glad to hear this one struck you. I don't know why I have a thing for torturing my favorite couple. It breaks my heart too!
I'm just wandering around tonight and came across this little ficlet- which I really liked.
I liked this a lot: He thinks this is an accurate reflection on the entire history of their relationship. She thinks this is everything she's ever wanted.
And I loved how misleading the beginning was. Great.
You think for so many years of how it will be when everything you've been waiting on finally becomes a reality, only to realize how much the reality has changed.
Sensual, and much like dark chocolate with a bitter aftertaste. It's a beautifully articulated fic that personifies its title so very well.
It never did work out for them the way they deserved - I always wanted them to have their happy ending but the show so often tried to convince me they never would - I think this is one of my worst nightmares of their possible unhappy endings. I'm very glad you enjoyed it!
The depth of their pain continues to drag me through the mud, years after both series left TV. I always wanted that 'I Will Remember You' happy ending, as well. Its tangible quality, every time glimpsed, fell through our hopeful fingers like sand. I love your writing because it takes me back to just how deeply I always have felt for them, and there's no better angst than the reality of how those two kids just... weren't meant to share things in the sunshine.
