So one would tend to think that, in going to all these exotic lands by sailboat I would have my share of advetures. And I do, but they're not the sort people expect, and that is by design. It wouldn't do to be running a sailing school, take a group of college kids sailing, and then go places where you are actually likely to be attacked by pirates ( Read more... )

BWAHHHAHAHAHAHAHHAHAHAAAA WAHHAHAHAHAAAAAA
OMG...I so wish that story could have been related in real life...cause I really did almost just spit tea through my nose while reading it...and live, in person, I know I would have peed my pants.

Quite tremendous...well, I'm so glad that your regularly scheduled sea voyages are better staffed and more prepared :) I'm sure sea adventures can be fun as long as you always know...you'll get home at some point.

I think you may be the only person I know who wishes she had peed her pants...
We did have a guy on board who was so totally outside his comfort zone. He pretty much sat there, moved when we told him to, and tried to act like he wasn't about to hurl. wuss.
You, I know, would have at least hauled on a line if it was apparent it needed hauling on.

AWESOME!!!! That sounds similar to most of my duckhunting trips! As much as it may have sucked at the time, you were REALLY sailing! ROFLROFL I wish I could have heard that tale in person, too. Missing you , you old salt! LOL

Oh, it was pretty fabulous. And what is life w/o regular bruising in odd places? Gotta keep those ibuprofen companies in business!
I also managed to get entirely soaked.. I have this reputation as a wave attractor, and it followed through yet again.

Arnica Montana ointment is fantastic for bruising. I used it all the time when I was fighting regularly. It's a homeopathic so search accordingly.

nice tip, thanks. How's that job search going? Not likely to bring you much closer to me, but maybe closer to where I might visit...
