Do not - I repeat, DO NOT - go to the BoCo for grad school in musical theater.
It's the most disorganized, bullshit degree. The compact the four-year degree into two years. It's not worth it.
Plus, it's an MM, and you probably want an MFA. There are far better places than the BoCo for grad school in musical theater. They want to change the curriculum to MFA at BoCo, but they're too lazy to write the 80-page workup.
Not a problem. Actually, on second thought: some of the faculty are amazing, but it doesn't make up for the lack of organization between departments and the bullshit of the thesis performance - a culmination of two years' work with no real preparatory training.
However, you get to work with some of the most amazing musical theater people and get to meet people like Dave Clemmons and Michael O'Flaherty and whatnot. So there are some perks.
